THE NEW LATE FEE ASSESSMENT-DESCRIBED BELOW– WILL NOT BE WAIVED!

 Billing and Collection Procedure for District Utility Services:
· A Bill for services rendered by the District is sent First-Class U.S. Mail to the responsible party, defined for the purpose of this Ordinance as the property owner of record, the first part of each month following the initial month of service.
      (Billings are, then, running one month behind the actual delivery of services.)
· Payment for that Bill is due by the end of the billing month.
· Bills not paid by the 30th of the billing month are considered delinquent and will be assessed a $5.00 late fee.
· A subsequent Bill for ongoing services, as well and any amounts then past due, will be sent the first part of the month following the last billing month and any amounts that remain delinquent from the prior billing will be assessed an additional $5.00 late fee.
· A shut off notice will be sent out the first of the month – the third billing month - on accounts that remain     delinquent. (For example, service for September that was first billed in October and which remains delinquent as of the 1st of January will cause a shut off notice to be sent.)
· Service will be shut off 48 hours after notice is provided.
· Once water has been shut off, customers must pay a “Reconnection Fee” to the culinary water service provider in addition to any additional fees established by the District for reconnection, as follows:
Bona Vista Water Improvement Districtwater users: $35.00 residential and $100.00 commercial;
Taylor/West Weber Water Improvement District—water users: $50.00.
Hooper Water Improvement District—water users: $25.00;
